Land Clearing & Re-shaping

Take it down. Re-shape the ground.

▦ Placeholder · Land Clearing

Mulching leaves the ground covered. Land clearing takes it down to workable dirt and re-shapes what's underneath. Trees come out, stumps get grubbed, the root mat gets raked, and then the grade work starts: drainage cut, fill placed, erosion control set on the finished grade so the first hard rain doesn't undo the week. On disposal we give you the options straight: mulch it in place, haul it off, or burn on site where parish or county rules allow. Each one changes the bid, and we'll tell you which one fits the site. This is the service developers call before the architect, surveyors call before the transit work, and ranchers call when the back forty needs to be productive ground again.

Production rate

Highly job-dependent. Light brush + grade: 1–3 acres/day. Heavy timber + earthwork: 0.25–1 acre/day.

Optimal job size

Sweet spot: 2–100 acres. Especially good fit for pre-project sites, survey corridors, and pasture re-conversion.

Terrain

All terrain in scope. Heaviest equipment for the heaviest ground. Coordination with permit authorities on wetland-adjacent work.

Equipment

Big iron.
Production-grade.

The right tool for the job. Always sized up.

Excavators

Stump grubbing, root-raking, drainage cuts

Dozers (450 to 850 classes available)

Push, shape, finish grade

ASV RT-135F Forestry Mulcher

Vegetation knockdown in support

Articulated dump trucks

Spoil haul-off and fill movement when the grade plan calls for it

Process

Same every time.
Predictable on site.

Site walk. Mobilize. Execute. Walk off.

  1. 01

    Site Walk

We walk the property with you, on the ground or by drone. Acreage, terrain, access, wet spots, utility crossings, trees you want kept, and the finish you actually want. The quote comes from the walk, not a satellite guess.

  2. 02

    Mobilization

Equipment lowboys in. 811 locates called and cleared before any ground-engaging work: Louisiana 811, Texas 811, or Mississippi 811, depending on where the job sits. SWPPP and erosion control set on industrial sites. COI, named-additional-insured, and waiver-of-subrogation endorsements issued on request.

  3. 03

    Execution

The iron does the work: our forestry mulcher, excavators, and dozers as the job calls for. Daily check-ins. Drone progress shots on jobs over 5 acres. Daily SWPPP inspection on industrial sites.

  4. 04

    Walk-Off

Demobilize, restore the staging areas, final walk with you or your rep. Drone before/after package on jobs over 5 acres. Invoice when you sign off, not before.

Questions

Land Clearing & Re-shaping.
Answered before the call.

Bidding questions, terrain questions, insurance questions: asked and answered.

When should I pick Land Clearing over Forestry Mulching?
Pick land clearing when the material needs to come out (not just get ground in place), when grade work is required, or when construction is coming next. Pick forestry mulching when the ground itself is fine and the vegetation cover is the problem.
What happens to the trees and stumps?
Three honest options. Mulch in place: no haul-off, the ground keeps the organic matter. Haul off to an approved disposal site: the cleanest finish and the most trucking. Or burn on site where parish or county rules allow and conditions are safe. We quote the options separately so you pick the trade-off, not us.
Can you handle the survey-corridor clearing for an engineering firm?
Yes. Line-of-sight clearing for surveys is one of the jobs we run for the Agencies & Surveyors lane. We'll clear a transit lane, open passable interior roadways for crew access, or do a complete property clear, depending on the design intent.
What states do you cover?
South Louisiana is primary (Acadiana, Baton Rouge corridor, Lake Charles, Northshore, New Orleans metro, central LA). East Texas through Tyler / Longview / Lufkin and into the Houston metro reach. South Mississippi below the red line (601/769/228). NW LA, NE LA, north MS, and south AL/AR for bigger jobs.
How fast can you mobilize?
Landowner work typically books within the same week once the quote is signed. Utility and industrial operator windows get scheduled around your timeline. Tell us the window and we plan the lowboy moves to hit it. June through November we keep slack in the schedule for storm response.
Are you insured?
$1M general liability, with options to increase per job requirements. Bondable. Ask for a COI and it's in your inbox within 24 hours.
Do you publish pricing?
No. Every job gets bid off the walk: acreage, terrain, target finish, access, and timing all move the number. Call or send a property pin and we'll walk it together. You get a straight quote from the operator, not a price sheet.
