General Dirt Work

Drainage, grading, fill, demo.

▦ Placeholder · Dirt Work

Every job on this site eventually bumps into dirt work. The shooting lane needs a drainage cut so it doesn't turn into a canal. The new pad needs a culvert under the driveway. The back lot needs the old shed knocked down and the slab pulled. We treat drainage as the main event, not the afterthought. Water has to have somewhere to go, and a ditch graded wrong just moves the standing water thirty feet. Before any of it, 811: Louisiana 811, Texas 811, or Mississippi 811 gets called and cleared before a bucket touches the ground. Same iron, same crew, often the same week as your primary job, one invoice.

Site walk. Mobilize. Execute. Walk off.

  1. 01

    Site Walk

We walk the property with you, on the ground or by drone. Acreage, terrain, access, wet spots, utility crossings, trees you want kept, and the finish you actually want. The quote comes from the walk, not a satellite guess.

  2. 02

    Mobilization

Equipment lowboys in. 811 locates called and cleared before any ground-engaging work: Louisiana 811, Texas 811, or Mississippi 811, depending on where the job sits. SWPPP and erosion control set on industrial sites. COI, named-additional-insured, and waiver-of-subrogation endorsements issued on request.

  3. 03

    Execution

The iron does the work: our forestry mulcher, excavators, and dozers as the job calls for. Daily check-ins. Drone progress shots on jobs over 5 acres. Daily SWPPP inspection on industrial sites.

  4. 04

    Walk-Off

Demobilize, restore the staging areas, final walk with you or your rep. Drone before/after package on jobs over 5 acres. Invoice when you sign off, not before.

Questions

General Dirt Work.
Answered before the call.

Bidding questions, terrain questions, insurance questions: asked and answered.

Will you do dirt work as a standalone job?
Yes. Small standalone jobs (a drainage cut, a culvert set, access-road grading, light demo) are welcome. We bid them straight, no strings to a bigger service.
What about buried utilities?
We call 811 before any ground-engaging work (Louisiana 811, Texas 811, or Mississippi 811, depending on the state) and wait for the locates to clear. Private lines 811 doesn't mark (well lines, old field drains, an unmarked water line to the barn) are worth mentioning on the site walk. Flags are easy; a cut line wrecks the week.
Can you handle post-storm cleanup?
Yes. Vegetative debris, demolition debris, road clearing, ROW restoration. That work runs as a subcontract under a debris-mission prime or direct under parish and state contracts, with the load documentation those contracts require.
Do you do demolition of old structures?
Light demo, yes: sheds, slabs, old fence runs, abandoned outbuildings. Heavy demolition (multi-story, asbestos, hazmat) gets referred to a specialized demo contractor. We'll tell you which side of that line your job falls on during the walk.
What states do you cover?
South Louisiana is primary (Acadiana, Baton Rouge corridor, Lake Charles, Northshore, New Orleans metro, central LA). East Texas through Tyler / Longview / Lufkin and into the Houston metro reach. South Mississippi below the red line (601/769/228). NW LA, NE LA, north MS, and south AL/AR for bigger jobs.
How fast can you mobilize?
Landowner work typically books within the same week once the quote is signed. Utility and industrial operator windows get scheduled around your timeline. Tell us the window and we plan the lowboy moves to hit it. June through November we keep slack in the schedule for storm response.
Are you insured?
$1M general liability, with options to increase per job requirements. Bondable. Ask for a COI and it's in your inbox within 24 hours.
Do you publish pricing?
No. Every job gets bid off the walk: acreage, terrain, target finish, access, and timing all move the number. Call or send a property pin and we'll walk it together. You get a straight quote from the operator, not a price sheet.
