Mulching is the right tool when you want to leave the ground covered. Land clearing is the right tool when you want to take it down and re-shape what's underneath. Excavators and dozers join the mulcher fleet — trees and stumps removed, root mat pulled, ground graded, drainage cut, fill placed. This is the service developers call before architects, surveyors call before transit work, and ranchers call when an overgrown back-forty needs to become productive ground again.

Production rate

Highly job-dependent. Light brush + grade: 1–3 acres/day. Heavy timber + earthwork: 0.25–1 acre/day.

Optimal job size

Sweet spot: 2–100 acres. Especially good fit for pre-project sites, survey corridors, and pasture re-conversion.

Terrain

All terrain in scope. Heaviest equipment for the heaviest ground. Coordination with permit authorities on wetland-adjacent work.

    Site Walk

    Owner or procurement lead walks the property with us, on site or via drone. We scope acreage, terrain, access, sensitivities (wetlands, utility crossings, sensitive trees), and the finish you actually want.

  2. 02

    Mobilization

    Equipment lowboys into the site. SWPPP, erosion control, and operator-window logistics handled. COI, named-additional-insured, and waiver-of-subrogation endorsements issued on request.

  3. 03

    Execution

    Big iron does the work — 300+ HP mulchers, excavators, dozers as the job calls for. Daily check-ins, drone progress shots on jobs over 5 acres, daily SWPPP inspection on industrial sites.

  4. 04

    Walk-Off

    Demobilize, restore stage areas, final walk with the owner or procurement rep. Drone before/after package delivered. Invoice when you sign off — not before.

When should I pick Land Clearing over Forestry Mulching?
Pick Land Clearing when you need to remove material (not just grind it in place), when grade work is required, or when the site is going to receive construction next. Pick Forestry Mulching when the ground itself is fine and you just need to remove the vegetation cover.
Can you handle the survey-corridor clearing for an engineering firm?
Yes. Line-of-sight clearing for surveys is one of the explicit jobs we run for the Agencies & Surveyors lane. We'll clear a transit lane, create passable interior roadways for crew access, or do a complete property clear, depending on the design intent.
Do you haul off the spoil?
When required. We'll quote with-haul-off and without-haul-off as separate line items so you can choose. Mulching avoids haul-off entirely; clearing+grading often requires it.
What states do you cover?
South Louisiana is primary (Acadiana, Baton Rouge corridor, Lake Charles, Northshore, New Orleans metro, central LA). East Texas through Tyler / Longview / Lufkin and into the Houston metro reach. South Mississippi below the red line (601/769/228). NW LA, NE LA, north MS, south AL/AR opportunistically for bigger jobs.
How fast can you mobilize?
For procurement-grade operator windows, 24-hour mobilization is routine. For landowner work, typically the same week once the quote is signed. Storm activation: pre-staged for hurricane season every June through November.
Are you insured and prequalified?
$2M / $5M general liability, $10M umbrella, $1M auto, statutory workers' comp + $1M ELL. ISN / Avetta / Veriforce / PEC Premier active. MSA-ready. Typical COI turnaround is under 4 business hours during drilling windows.
Do you publish pricing?
