Forestry Mulching

Single-pass clearing. No haul-off.

▦ Placeholder · Forestry Mulching

Forestry mulching is the highest-leverage service we offer. One pass, one machine, one operator. Brush, saplings, and timber up to 15" in diameter go down and stay down — ground into a mulch blanket that suppresses regrowth, holds the soil, and rebuilds organic matter. No burn pile, no haul-off, no follow-up debris contract. The same iron pulls double duty across every audience: reclaiming pasture for a rancher, opening a shooting lane for a hunting lease, side-trimming a transmission ROW for a utility, or staging an oilfield pad site.

Production rate

2–5+ acres/day routine. Higher in light brush, lower in big timber.

Optimal job size

Sweet spot: 10–200 acres. Bigger is fine — we've done multi-week runs. Smaller is fine too if access supports the lowboy.

Terrain

Tracked carriers at ~3 psi ground pressure run on soils where dozers sink. Bottomland hardwood, pine flatwoods, cutover, swamp edges, riverbank — all in scope.

Process

Same every time.
Predictable on site.

Site walk. Mobilize. Execute. Walk off.

  1. 01

    Site Walk

Owner or procurement lead walks the property with us, on site or via drone. We scope acreage, terrain, access, sensitivities (wetlands, utility crossings, sensitive trees), and the finish you actually want.

  2. 02

    Mobilization

Equipment lowboys into the site. SWPPP, erosion control, and operator-window logistics handled. COI, named-additional-insured, and waiver-of-subrogation endorsements issued on request.

  3. 03

    Execution

Big iron does the work — 300+ HP mulchers, excavators, dozers as the job calls for. Daily check-ins, drone progress shots on jobs over 5 acres, daily SWPPP inspection on industrial sites.

  4. 04

    Walk-Off

Demobilize, restore stage areas, final walk with the owner or procurement rep. Drone before/after package delivered. Invoice when you sign off — not before.

Questions

Forestry Mulching.
Answered before the call.

Bidding questions, terrain questions, insurance questions — asked and answered.

How is forestry mulching different from bush hogging?
Bush hogging cuts at the surface and grows back fast. Forestry mulching grinds the stump and root collar into mulch — regrowth is dramatically slower, and the mulch blanket holds the soil and feeds it. Mulching is a longer-term solution; bush hogging is maintenance.
Can you clear under power lines or along pipeline ROW?
Yes. Right-of-Way work is one of our four primary lanes. We run cycle-maintenance contracts for high-line and pipeline ROW. See the Right-of-Way Clearing service for the procurement details.
What about hunting properties — shooting lanes, food plots?
A favorite use case. We thread mulchers through hardwood-pine mix without touching mature canopy, cut shooting lanes 6–10 feet wide, open food plots in clearings, and connect them with interior trail loops. Drone before/after delivered.
Can you mulch wet ground?
Often yes — our tracked carriers at ~3 psi work soils that bog down dozers. We'll walk the site first; if the ground is truly saturated we'll schedule for after it dries or recommend an alternative approach.
What states do you cover?
South Louisiana is primary (Acadiana, Baton Rouge corridor, Lake Charles, Northshore, New Orleans metro, central LA). East Texas through Tyler / Longview / Lufkin and into the Houston metro reach. South Mississippi below the red line (601/769/228). NW LA, NE LA, north MS, south AL/AR opportunistically for bigger jobs.
How fast can you mobilize?
For procurement-grade operator windows, 24-hour mobilization is routine. For landowner work, typically the same week once the quote is signed. Storm activation: pre-staged for hurricane season every June through November.
Are you insured and prequalified?
$2M / $5M general liability, $10M umbrella, $1M auto, statutory workers' comp + $1M ELL. ISN / Avetta / Veriforce / PEC Premier active. MSA-ready. Typical COI turnaround is under 4 business hours during drilling windows.
Do you publish pricing?
No. Every job is bid based on acreage, terrain, target finish, access, and operator window. Quote conversations happen live — call or email and we'll walk it together.
